Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Training Program

The ACE Network, Lumos Energy’s Clean Energy Capacity Building Platform for Aboriginal Communities, and the Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER) are pleased to announce the establishment of the Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Training Program tailored to the needs of leaders in Aboriginal Communities.  The Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Training Program will present three clean energy modules: Community Engagement, Clean Energy Project Partnerships and Project Financing.  Each session will be highly interactive and be presented to a small group of participants.  Only members of First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities can participate in the sessions and all participants shall be awarded the Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Certificate.

The Training Program outline will be posted on the ACE Network site (www.acenetwork.ca) by the end of January, 2008.

The first Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Training Program will be presented on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in Toronto the day after the Renewable Energy on Aboriginal Lands Conference. A modest fee will be charged to participants.

If an Aboriginal leader would like to attend the first Training Session for the Aboriginal Clean Energy Project Development Training Program, please contact the ACE Network through Christopher Henderson, President of Lumos Energy, at chenderson@lumosenergy.com, or at 613-562-2005.
